And so, due to the demands requests of both
derflughafen and RL folks - boyfriend included, dahurr - here is a new art post! Beware, It's file-heavy.

This is probably the oldest of the lot. I found a red calligraphy pen in the house, and started trying to draw with it. I liked playing with the mark sizes and all, but I prefer drawing faster and messier than I could with this pen. It was more to test my ability to not go back and fix things by erasing. Love the texture on the guy's hair. The Dom and Tess stickblobs are just for fun.

Next up, and old sketch of Dom and Tess. They're a bit shaky because this was after a looong art drought. And I think I drew them at work, too. Both have weird heads, but I like Tess' torso.

Another batch from work! I started drawing the Tess here, and she looked so happy. So I drew her a Dom to be excited with! I liked how Dom came out, but he doesn't look much like Dom usually does - see the unusually well-turned-out Dom at lower right - but I love his hair so. Both so innocent! So not angry. Also, enjoy pouty corner-Tess.

Speaking of not looking like Dom, I decided I didn't like how Dom looked. Started exploring changing him, and from this came two developments - new hairstyle with super lopsided fringe, and new, chunkier eyebrows! I like these eyebrows. They're more expressive. For example, the floating eyes up top. Bit exaggerated, but fun. With new eyebrows came new eyes, which were a bit more trouble. But fun!

Playing with Dom's hair made me want to change Tess' too, so I did some messing around with hers at work too. Middle one's meant to be a ponytail, like the top left. Super-angsty Dom at right is super-angsty! Actually I messed with that one a bit in Photoshop. Originally I drew his chin waaaaaay too long. Favourite: Tess profile body at bottom left! This is kinda how she should always be, I think. Also she looks especially... perky!

Jakeb! Someone who's not Dom or Tess! Fantastic! This one's old, older than the first image I think? Still, nice. He's a bit unbalanced to be honest. I like his outfit. Guys who wear this? Hot. Particularly like how his torso came out, with the singlets folds and all.

Of course, this lead on to trying to change Jakeb's hair too. This is actually harder - his hairstyle currently doesn't mesh with how I draw anymore, but I have trouble finding a replacement that still looks like him to me. No formal decision yet. Bonus drugged-out Dom at top right, there. Yes, I write little notes to myself on my sketchbooks. SHUT UP I'M COOL
And now, Super Bonus Surprise Magical Happy Colour Fun Time!
Colour!

This is how I look most of the time. Note: This is not how I look.

Dom! Just some messing about with clothing and stuff. Old hairstyle DomHead floating at top, and playing with perspective and stuff at right. Left Dom looks a bit... Odd. I thik his hair's weird, maybe. And, sexy formal outfit Dom in middle.

As you can see, Dom's slipping into a more formal style of dressing, button-up shirts and all. Partly because I'm doing a bit of the same, but also because I'm toying with updating the story setting of Shut Up for when I reboot. At this point they'll probably be out of/finishing uni, so Dom'll have a real job. The uncoloured one is me trying to work out correct posture for Dom after drawing that stretching Dom at right. Yes he is stretching, not thrusting. Just like the note says.
Vests are sexy.

My favourite little Dom doodle, so it gets to be on its own. This is actually the first one I coloured, and I was a little rusty so excuse the extra messiness. I just like the pose, and his hair came out nice too.

Finally settled on something new for Tess, too. Realised I liked this bandana/sidebangs look, so I think it might become her primary hairstyle. As you can see from the bottom left and right images, I'm also cutting off most of her hair. Surpisingly, this was hard to do! But in the end it means more flexibility to change her look, so nyeah. Top right face/hair combo is my favourite for this page.

Finally, my favourite Tess! This was the first bandana Tess I drew, and it was one of those I-drew-it-tiny-but-now-I-love-it thumbnail drawings. Really like the hipster look she's pullin' here! I've been watching a bunch of That 70's Show lately, I think that contributed to this. Image on her chest was meant to be a VW logo but my memory is baaad, haha. For those finding it hard to read my scribblin', she is saying "I'm Tess, this is my moron." Yes, it's Dom.
That felt good! It was nice to do quick-colours on those drawings. I am quite proud. Time to go draw some more! No wait, it's 4:30 in the morning. TIME FOR EPIC SLEEP.

I've recently just started sketching people on BART and it really helps me learn about anatomy. The point is not the draw a masterpiece on the 1st try, but to try and learn how the body works and how to incorporate things into your style. It took me such a long time to figure out what works for me and who inspires me and I suggest you try it as well. I see a lot of potential in your stuff and hopefully you'll continue to draw moar
